Corporate Training is inclusive of 8 modules, which are spread across 6 semesters. The objective of this training is to develop effective planning, time management, initiate action and effectively engage others to enhance outcomes. This training also helps to maintain sufficient motivation and energy to achieve goals and employ relevant talents and skills to contribute for the betterment of the society.
Module I
Basic phonetics (Assignment and Activity Oriented) (a)Consonants and Vowel Sounds. (b) Phoneme & Syllables (Introduction to stress, accent and intonation)
- Speech Mechanism: An introduction
- Consonants of English, Classification Pure Vowel/monophthongs , Vowel Glides /Diphthongs
- Phonetic transcription using IPA symbols – words, features of connected speech (Intonation, assimilation of consonant cluster, weak forms)
- Spelling patterns of English
Module II
Basic Writing Skills (Assignment and Activity Oriented)
- Tenses, Subject Verb Agreement - Composing simple paragraph in a logical manner (coherence)
- Voice and Narration - Argumentative, Narrative, Descriptive, Imaginative
- Writing Advertisement, letters of communication – Formal and Informal
- Writing for event management – Guest Introduction, Welcome Speech, Vote of Thanks and Compeering
Module III
Principles of public speaking
- Definition, Purpose and Process Guidelines (Taking Command of audience attention span)
- Helpful Expressions of Introduction and Conclusion
- Role of Accent, Tone and Intonation
- Body Language (Personality Traits tested) and Speech types - Elocution, Extempore, Debate etc.. Combating common fears and nervousness on stage

Communication theory
- Principles of Communication - Principles & Objectives, Importance and Role of internal & external , formal & informal communication, Types-verbal & nonverbal , introduction to document & aids like letters, circulars, reports, faxes and emails.
- Barriers to Communication - Noise as barrier, Language as a barrier, Organizational structures as barriers, Personal & Psychological barriers
- Group communication - Meaning & Nature of Groups, Types of Groups: Small & large, primary and secondary, formal & informal, Channels and Network of communication, Modes of group communication: Seminars, GDs, Workshop etc.
- Principles of group discussion - Definition and purpose, Taking command of a GD, How to keep GD enthusiastic, Body language during GD and Mock GDs

Module VI
Presentation Skills: the following functions will be taught (Activity and Assignment Oriented)

- Defusing anger, Sounding sincere, Probing questions, Admitting mistakes, Showing empathy
