Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
The B. Com program offered by KCCM empowers students to acquire the relevant skills sets required
by the industry and banking and business sectors. Moreover, it equips them with knowledge of the
computers and several accounting and analytical tools that are needed in decision making. The
curriculum is at par with contemporary standards and highlights the current global issues. The
B. Com course matrix includes a variety of electives like Accounting, Finance, Banking,
International Finance, and Information Systems. KCCM also provide Corporate and Soft Skills
training to the students to develop the finer aspects of business etiquettes and soft skills
over and above the academic qualifications.
Duration
6 Semesters for 3 years. Upon successful completion of the course, a student is awarded
bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
Eligibility Criteria
Pass in PUC/10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognised board or any other equivalent
qualification.
Course Objectives
- Prepare the students to cater to the manpower needs of companies in Accounting, Taxation,
Auditing, Financial Analysis, and Management.
- To develop business analysts for companies, capital markets and commodity markets.
- To develop entrepreneurs.
- To develop business philosophers with a focus on social responsibility and ecological
sustainability.
- To develop global managers for addressing business development issues with a passion for
quality competency and holistic approach.
- To prepare students for professions in the field of Accountancy - Chartered Accountancy,
Cost and Management Accountancy, Company Secretary, Professions in Capital and Commodity
Markets, and banking.
- To develop the students for competitive examinations like UPSC, KPSC, BSRB, and Staff
Selection Commission.
